A British actor of an Indian descent Kunal Nayyar became a worldwide known celebrity due to the role of Raj in The Big Bang Theory. He was born in London but spent childhood in India and after school went to the US to study finances. While at college, he got passionate about acting and began visiting acting lessons. He was invited to a theatrical festival and as a result won Mark Twain award as well as a scholarship in a prestigious theatre Sundance Lab. After this he continued studying and got a master degree in fine arts.
He first appeared on TV in 2004 with a small role in S.C.I.E.N.C.E. Then he had another minor role in NCIS. Additionally to that he worked as a voice actor. What really made him popular is The Big Bang Theory sitcom thanks to which he gained international fame, recognition, wealth and of course, millions of fans across the globe.

Kunal’s father Rakesh lives in India and works as an executive director at the Supreme Petrochem. Both father and son share a tight bond and are always there for each other, no matter what.

The mother Heita is retired now but worked as an interior designer. She has been married to Rakesh since 1972 and the couple raised two children.

A brother Anmol is the only sibling to a famed movie star. He doesn’t like being in the spotlight and therefore, opted to live in India, where he works in a private firm. He is married to a shoes designer and is a father to a daughter. Due to the distance, brothers don’t see each other as often as they would like to but remain to be very close.

As for Nayyar’s personal life, he walked a model Neha Kapur down the aisle in 2011 and ever since that time the two love birds have been living happily. They met at a party in 2009 and the chemistry soon started building between the two. Two years of dating led to a traditional Hindu wedding after which Neha moved to LA to live with a husband.

For now the actor doesn’t have any kids.
