I have a TC Electronics Metal distortion pedal that causes a lot of unwanted feedback when I activate distortion. Especially when I'm not playing. Will this eliminate feedback? Or does it only eliminate the hum and hiss?

Oddly, the crescendo works as a noise suppressor. Its a great pedal for what it can do.
