Kaiba is the very definition of hardcore. He:
-Had his gorillas beat an old man just to take his card and then rip it
-Built a jet based on his favorite card
-Risked his life just to not lose a game
-Had a whole city paralized to make a tournament just to defeat his archrival
-Exploded the place where he lost in the tournament, a place he himself chose
-Was about to destroy the souls of innocents just to win a card game for his company
-Travelled to Egypt just to prove others wrong
-Excavated an ancient egyptian artifact, which probably costed millions
-Built a space elevator, just for the zero gravity
-Travelled through time just to play a game with his archrival


And all of this....JUST FOR THE SAKE OF CHILDREN'S CARD GAMES

Fun fact: kaiba battles his father complex in his duells. In 2008 the author takahashi talked about kaiba. He actually felt responsible for his fathers suicide and it "haunted him". This also triggered the thinking of games meaning death. His stepfathers dead and the lost of a foe to play "games" against also triggered some insanity.

2:15 There's so many examples of Kaiba's disdain toward Joey in the English dub that you could point to, but for some reason, one of my favorites has always been in the KC Grand Championship arc, when Kaiba specifically tells Mokuba to ensure Wheeler is late for the tournament registration process so that he'll be DQ'd from the whole tourney. That's just so absurdly petty and disrespectful, and I love it.

I realized that kaiba and tony stark are kinda similar in the fact that they both take a company that was known for war weapons and change it up for the better good.

I think you missed Kaiba's character trait that deep underneath his stubbornness, arrogance, and selfishness, he has a caring heart. Particularly when Marik's slave was about to drop a container on Téa, Kaiba badass-ly snipes the goon's hand with his own Blue-Eyes card, then lunges a knee into the lackey before he can recover.

After all those years, Seto Kaiba is still my biggest crush xD I fell in love with his character since Yu Gi Oh! first aired on German kids television.
