Something a little different, showing you guys how the first session often looks with the dogs that I work with.

Might not be as seamless when trying this with your dog but the concept works every time for me and the dogs I work with that pull!. Hope it helps you too!

Grateful for the pace and level of explanation you include in your videos. I’m not new to dog ownership but still find that through watching your videos, there’s always some little snippet I get from you that is so on point and develops my progress with my Staffordshire terrier who can pick and choose when she wants to listen. She’s 18mths old. Thank you, wishing you all the success.

Training begins the moment that puppy sets foot through the door. Gentle at first, building with progress and this applies to ALL discipline. I have owned and worked nine dogs including viz, gsp, labs and my dogs would be invited before me.

Wow. Impressive. I have problem keeping lead up high. It falls to middle of throat all the time☹️You on the other hand keep it up high. How can I do the same?
Much Joy🐾👍🏾🐾

No way this is in BOT, I'd recognise that setting anywhere. Are you local to BOT then? Great video by the way. I am currently training my 13 week old staffy. She's doing so well and watching videos like yours is helping no end. (just to disclaim there is no slip lead use or anything yet)

My first Vizsla reached the age of 13 years and my second Vizsla just passed away at an age of 15.5 years.

We have a new puppy who isn't allowed out yet .. and he's going to grow into a fair sized dog so I'm really pleased to have found this training session about walking .. especially as there was no interest in food .. I've got our puppy on a slip lead already so he's familiar for when he can go out .. and I'll be doing exactly what you showed .. so thanks for this .. I'll update on how it goes when the time comes. I'm just wondering though .. how old should a puppy be before training .. he's 10 weeks at the min.

if only my vizsla was that easy to train we tried all of this and had multipul trainers and she still does not listen at all or respond to this

I don't think you could have demonstrated of explained that any better, Thanks.

One question. Why did you change the lead? Is it so that it sits higher up?

Love your videos. I have a male Jack Russell. I use a harness with lead on the chest loop as he is driven to get to where he wants to go. Anything around his neck leads to choking. Which makes me feel bad. Any advice on using the harness. I also walk with another dog. Who is much older. Who doesn’t pull. Thank you.

What is that slip lead exactly please (what makes)? I’ve got one but it’s a bit thicker and it keeps slipping down my dog’s neck.

Hi,
I have a 4 month old Vizsla girl but worry about using a slip lead because of her throat, she’s young and growing etc…. Would you say this is ok to use?

Calm concise delivery of a simple yet tricky part of dog training. My 4month labradoodle is amazing on lead using your introduction techniques to equipment (slip lead). Cheers🫡
