The term "Good Samaritan" is often used to describe someone who helps others, but few know who the Samaritans were. In the Bible, the Samaritans were a group of people who lived in the region of Israel after the Assyrian conquest. They survived into the time of Jesus and are still in limited numbers today.

The Bible tells several stories about Samaritans, and hatred between Jews and Samaritans is a recurring issue in the Gospels.

When you study history -- you will find that the story of the "good Samaritan" -- was actually A TRUE story that all of the people were familiar with in that day. The Samaritan WAS a true man!

Shalmanezer, king of Assyria carried away Israel to Assyria because they had been rejected by God for their unrepentant idolatry practices And Kings 17, and relocated 5 different tribes of Assyrians with 5 different idolatry practices in Samaria. 2 kings 17:24-41.

The Samaritan woman at the well who was met by Jesus Christ because of her faith in the God of the Jews. She had allied herself, like Ruth, to Jacob, by saying "our father Jacob...Our fathers worshipped..." John 4:1-26.
She, in her quest for the True God, went through all the 5 gods of Assyria, and now found about the God of Israel.
Just then, she met Jesus who then told her the good news of salvation by faith in the One that God has sent to restore Israel.
Because of her faith in Him, she not only got saved, but became the evangelist to proclaim this good news to all Samaritans.
The idols and gods are likened to having a marital relationship, thus, she had been with 5 husbands and now even the 6th wasn't what she was looking for.
This meant that the mystery which was hidden right from the beginning- Jews and Gentiles would be saved, was fulfilled.
Jesus was indeed sent only to the lost sheep of Israel, but He also ministered to anyone who would simply have the faith of Abraham and believe God through Christ Jesus, who was sent to seek and save lost Israel.
The Samaritan woman was one of the 3 gentiles ministered to by Jesus Christ for their faith in Him:
The Roman Centurion, the Samaritan woman at the well and the Canaanite woman.
He didn't acknowledge the Greek gentiles when they came to seek Him because He had to pay the wages for their sins before they could finally be included in salvation work of Jesus Christ by grace, through faith in His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection John 12:32.
Finally, by the Holy Spirit, Philip was sent to include Jew Proselytes, through the Ethiopian Eunuch, then the Apostle Paul was sent to the rest of the world.

The name jew for the religion of judaism (yehudi) is not derrived from the tribe of judah's name yehudi its derrived from the tanakh verse ''praised are the who reject worshipping idols'' the word yehudi (jew) means praised and according to torah the followers of the religion of yahweh are called yehudi (jews) because they are praised by god its not because of the trine of judah if it was about tribe of judah then samaritians would call themselves jews too as they directly descend from judah yet they fervently reject the name jew because its a religious word not an ethnic one.

and adding to the fact different jewish denonimations such as karaites and reform jews disagree with the maternal ancestry thing are proof that jewish maternal ancestry cant be interpeted as an factor of an ethnicity and the fact that islam also says that the child of a muslim father is a muslim unless he becomes an apostate according to sharia (muslim religious law equvalent of jewish halacha) but it would be weird to clasiffy muslims as an ethnic group.

Another facet of my point is that the state of israel agrees with me on this one according to israeli law of return the apostate jews who convert to other religions are no longer jews and that they are barred from the right of return and can't emigrate to israel and the israeli goverment does not reconise them as jewish !

-On the argument that judaism unlike the spiritual focused religions like christianity and buddhism has civil and penal code inside it and regulates all aspects of life there can be understood as an culture and thus a religion, the islam also has all of these but wouldnt it be nonsense to claim that muslims are a nation ?

So coming to my closing statement jews were historically always viewed as a religious group but antisemitic persecutions and cases like albert dreyfuss where ex jews were persecuted and the Holocoust where according to hitler ''jews were race'' so he persecuted apostate jews too, in response to this a secular movement that began to see jewness as an ethnicity began to form which have birth to zionism, to this day jews remain the only ''ethnicity'' which you can convert.

So thus the existance of israel is not legitimate and in its current form its not an actual religious state or nor an actual nation state its an abomination that definess jewishness on religious grounds yet at the same time defines itself as an secular state and rejects jewish religious law.
