🇬🇷October 28th - OXI Day in Greece!

OXI Day is a significant national holiday in Greece, celebrated on October 28th. It marks the moment in 1940 when Greek Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas said “No!” (“Όχι!”) to Mussolini’s demand to allow Italian troops into Greece. This bold response led to the Greco-Italian War and became a symbol of Greek courage, unity, and resistance.

Every year, Greeks celebrate with parades, events, and the display of Greek flags across the country, honoring those who fought for freedom. OXI Day is a proud reminder of Greece’s spirit and readiness to defend its independence.

The great military parade of October 28 takes place every year in Thessaloniki and the March 25 parade in Athens. It's worth watching them closely to feel the vibe.
Thank you for the very beautiful video
