World Economic Forum: Cost of living crisis might overshadow climate change | DW News

An annual risks survey published by the WEF on Wednesday put the global cost of living crisis caused by the pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine as the top immediate risk, saying energy and food supply crunches are likely to persist for the next two years. Ahead of this year's summit in Davos, the organisation says tackling short-term challenges like inflation could come at the expense of dealing with longer-term global threats.

A crisis they created for us sheep. Thanks Klaus. I doubt that Klaus cares how much he is hated. He does play this role so well though.

The "World Economic Forum" is the biggest risk to us. They're the main threat to our living

Billionaires should share their wealth with the poor, who could hardly buy food for the table.

There is no reason why a person has to possess billions.

6% inflation is just a lie. Who cares how much it costs to buy a radio or a crockpot. Food inflation is FAR MORE that 6%. When eggs go from 99 cents a dozen to $4, that's not 6%. It's ridiculous that they don't incorporate food prices into the inflation numbers because food is really the only important thing. When your utility bill literally doubles even though your usage did not go up and you keep your house at 60F, that's not 6% inflation. It's be nice if Youtube charged the advertisers double so our income could actually go up.

So the WEF achieved two of their objectives, global starvation and climate repression.

There is more wealth in the world than ever.

It just accumulates to the wealthiest, tho.

They are the same crisis: wealth and power accumulation caused by the search for infinite profit.

The WEF plan is right on track it seems, with rising prices making our "owners" richer and the rest much more desperate, hungry and subservient. Let’s own nothing and be happy? I think our owners are wrong about the " happy " thing and are about to find out…

Its all going according to plan. ”You will own nothing and be happy”, isnt that what WEF said earlier?

Very soon everything will be private, we have to pay, even for the air we breath.

Of course I am concerned about the climate as I likely have to sleep rough outside, once I get evicted after going into debt...

Remember when you complain about food prices, the price is higher because someone paid more to keep your shelf full while others shelves were left empty.
