The only pumpkin I've grown was for a competition. I was eight years old and my grandpa entered one every year (he consistently grew pumpkins at 400lbs+) and I wanted to join too. However, my pumpkin was only around 10 pounds. Surprisingly, the hosts of the event were very accomodating. They put my pumpkin on the same scale as all the other, gigantic, pumpkins. The hosts even gave me a free hat and t-shirt (no clue where either of them are, sadly).
