I finally got a Nintendo Switch, after more than 1 YEAR of wanting one! The new OLED model of the Nintendo Switch took sooo long to come out but it's finally here and I'm super happy I got my hands on one!! I have already downloaded Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing on the Switch, but please let me know some other games you think I should play :)

As someone who's been obsessed with the Switch since it released in 2017 it was really fun to watch someone unbox one who's totally new to it. It really brings back the magic.

Some switch things I can recommend for the switch oled.

1. Games. Some I can recommend are animal crossing, Pokémon sword/shield, Mario kart, super smash bros, and Splatoon 2.

2. A dock cover for the dock because the dock will scratch the switch when taking it out sometimes and putting it in. Most dock covers will say for the switch not oled but the 2 I have both work with my oled dock.

3. Pro controller for Tv mode because the joy cons will drift over time and I’ve have a pro controller for over a year and the pro controller hasn’t drifted over a year.

4. A screen protector for the switch just for extra protection. I would recommend one that is glass as Nintendo’s official screen protector is really bad.

5. A case to carry it around. There are a lot of cool cases for the switch and a few for the switch oled, Nintendo has a black and white case for it and it looks super cool and there is a teal and light green Animal Crossing case that works pretty well with my oled.

6. Last item, Nintendo switch online so you play with your friends and other people.

I bought one, and also have the V2. At first i was skeptical because according the reviews, it's not worth upgrading. But boy i can tell you straight, this one of the best decision i ever made.

Animal Crossing would definitely be first in my list of games to buy, especially since there is a Nintendo Direct scheduled today for new contents :)

Breath of the Wild is just a beautiful experience. I've always loved Legend of Zelda Games, but man this one is just too good!

If you're getting the switch for animal crossing, you might wanna check out the Animal Crossing Direct (basically a livestream presentation) that's airing an hour after you uploaded this video!! If you're looking for games, the 2 games that are generally accepted by the community as must-play games are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. Although I'd also recommend Splatoon 3 when that comes out next year (the Splatoon games are really fun and share the same dev team as the Animal Crossing franchise)

I would recommend getting a screen protector for your switch. Sometimes when you're sliding the console into the dock it can get scratches.

Just be aware that eventually the joycons might have some drift. I’m not exactly sure if the joycons are the same as the earlier one, but that design usually resulted in joycon drift over time when the contact pad wears out.

Zelda Breath of the wild (my #1 game)
Mario kart 8 deluxe
Animal crossing new horizons

If you like racing games:
Burnout paradise

And one that might surprise you but is actually really fun is:
Rocket league (free)

If you enjoy the 2d style of Mario games I would definitely recommend Super Mario Maker 2. It's about $60 and its story mode is okay, but its real value comes from user submitted levels. Because there's always new levels being made there is A TON of replay-ability and you can even make your own levels for other people to play if that's your jam. The only real negative about this game is the multiplayer (unless you have a high tolerance for latency and lag). Even if you have a fast connection you can get grouped with someone who doesn't and the gameplay will still be affected.

ACNH is great however it can be repetitive
Stardew valley and cattails are relaxing too
