Today is APJ Abdul Kalam's 88th Birth Anniversary and is also World's Students Day.

World Students Day is celebrated every year on the 15th of October every year to commemorate the the contributions made by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam towards teaching.

In 2010, the United Nations had declared October 15 as World Students' Day.
