CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Sue (Amy Irving) recounts the events of a night over twenty years ago with Rachel's (Emily Bergl) half sister, Carrie (Sissy Spacek).

FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Rage: Carrie 2 is set in a small town high school, where the members of the football team set the social order. Emulating the "Spur Posse" from Lakewood, California, the boys on the team compete to see who can seduce the most girls, rating them on a point system, and then discarding them as pathetic losers. The story opens with Lisa (Mena Suvari), a victim of this game who responds by jumping off the school to her death. Lisa turns out to be the only friend of Rachel Lang (Emily Bergl). Intelligent but a social outcast, Rachel lives with foster parents; her father is unknown and her mother has been institutionalized. Rachel plans to go after Lisa's victimizer, Eric (Zachery Ty Bryan), but becomes attracted to smart football star Jesse Ryan (Jason London). While this forces the keepers of social order to partially accept her, they secretly plan her downfall. But unknown to them, Rachel's recently arrived hormones have brought on something else -- telekinesis. The one person who recognizes what's happening is guidance counselor Sue Snell (Amy Irving), a lucky survivor of the telekinetic massacre perpetrated by Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) in the original film. Sue wants Rachel to get the help she needs (perhaps as Irving did in her other Brian DePalma film, The Fury) but it's already too late as the stage is set for another showdown at the prom.

This movie wasn't as bad as you'd think a sequel made to Carrie 20 years after the fact would be. It's fairly watchable.

The flashbacks were the best part in this entire movie

I liked the sequel for the most part, but killing off Sue really ruined it for me.

Killing off sue was a mistake- like what if they had a brother

Edit: so the power only passes through women in the family, still, I’m disappointed in this ending with Rachel dying like Carrie and killing off Sue. Not something you want out of a sequel.

You know it was obviously to think that it took 23 years to do a sequel because they were now showing us that another teenage girl named Rachel Lang who is the half sister of Carrie White is now having the same thing as Carrie that she has a power too. But when the only person and survivor Sue Snell survived the rampage from Carrie White wanted to show Rachel about the fire and rampage that happened 23 years ago at Ewen High School when it was prom night and Carrie White was the one killed everybody that night, and now Sue thinks that there's a connection between Rachel Lang and Carrie White with the same agenda and possibility about a power.

Carrie to Margaret: “he ran off with another woman mama. Everybody knows that”. She was talking about Rachel’s mom.

73 People died at the black prom, and the survivors of the black prom refused to talk about it.

73 people died as confirmed in this clip but there was like 140 people at the prom... so about 48% of them survived and 52% of them died. It's interesting because I used to think that pretty much everybody died before this sequel came out.

I feel bad for both of them, Sue just wants to do for Rachel what she couldn't do for Carrie, and is constantly haunted by what happened. And Rachel has every reason to be untrusting of adults, seeing as how she's never had a positive roll model in her life.

I would've liked this movie if it weren't for Sue's fate at the end. What gave them the right to do that to a main character of the franchise?

20+ years and still haven't cleaned up the debris from the fire. Huh. Got some lazy workers in that town. Procrastination pros.

Is it just me or does the grown-up version of Sue like kinda like Carrie's mother?😯

I actually saw this movie before watching the original. I didn't know much about the premise but the flashback scenes got me more interested to finally see the original a few days later.

Emily Bergl must’ve been quite honored to work with one of the original actors of “Carrie”. I’m sure Amy Irving might’ve had a lot of stories to tell her, on what it was like to work in such a classic horror movie, with Sissy Spacek, Betty Buckley, Piper Laurie, P.J. Soles, William Irving, Priscilla Pointer (Irving’s real-life mother), Nancy Allen, and John Travolta.

I hate the part when they killed off Sue

Sue should never have mentioned the lab, that's what bothered Rachel making her think "R U trying to turn me into a lab-rat". I would've thought the same thing.

Too bad Rachel never found out who her real father was so then she would realise that sue was right ✅️ all along & would apologize for her behaviour.

Everytime when she uses her power it gets black and white..

Rachel doing the right thing. She is not crazy, she is another victim from bullying. Like Carrie. She must use this gift.

Carrie and Rachel both had supernatural powers.
