What should we do with Old Testament laws?

I see what he's saying. There are spiritual truths behind the laws that we can learn from. The law, according to Galatians, is meant to ultimately point us to Christ. Reason being, as the other comment mentions, Christ has fulfilled the law. God bless CMI 🙂🙏🕊️✝️

The sacrificial laws and temple laws are obviously no longer in effect. As Christ became the One sacrifice, once and for all. And without a temple, the temple laws (cleansing laws) cannot be done.

Yes! It's all about the PRINCIPLE, not the letter of the law

The next thing the Messiah will say when he returns is "depart from me you workers of lawlessness" If the law didn't apply at his return, then why would he say that? It's because he himself told us that he didn't come to abolish the law. We of course aren't in the land and don't have a temple, but the law still applies. Otherwise there would be no sin as sin is transgression of the law. Be very careful what you preach as Jesus said that the least in the kingdom are those that teach others to break even the least of the commandments.

The old testament laws were for the Jews prior to the coming of the Messiah. Now, the law has pointed us to the savior. There is still value in many of those laws...God is grieved when we break the moral laws (sexuality, murder, lying, blaspheming, etc)

None of the laws apply to us as it pertains to our right standing before God or living as Christians. While the laws can be used to bring order to certain situations, the proper use of the law is to show unbelievers their need for Jesus Christ.

All of Jesus’ teachings are from the Torah. You show me a teaching of Jesus, I’ll show you where it is already laid out in God’s commands in the Torah

Be careful watch you preach…….. Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. There are only two laws that Jesus gave that cover all the old laws, Matthew. 22:37, 38 and 39

I especially like the Law about not marrying your sister. Especially since the Mosaic Law was written before Genesis.
