If I Could Turn Back Time | Pastor Rick Wright | The Church at CW

The Olympic season is upon us and on the world's stage the greatest athletes are competing to be crowned the gold and in many cases the outcomes are determined by fractions. I'm sure that many athletes will leave thinking if I would have just done this differently or that differently. If I could just have it to do again. What would you do if you could turn back time? That is a big question. I believe God sovereignly uses everything for His purposes, but what if you could, would you have done differently.

In Psalms 51 we find David who had been to the mountaintop and been used mightily by God, but in a moment he makes a daunting mistake that would come with a great price. In Psalms 51, David pens the words of his prayer of repentance. In it he cries out "blot out" what I've done. In this great song and prayer we find David can't turn back time, but we learn how to move forward when we can't take back the past.
