Synthesis and oxidation of copper nanoparticles in a spinel matrix

Plasmonic copper nanoparticles were synthesized by pulsed ion implantation. The implanted ceramics was step annealed with a muffle furnace in a temperature range of 100–500 °C. The oxidation of nanparticles occurs according to the Valancy-Carter mechanism.
