Open Source VW Tuning

This video demonstrates how to use the open source VW_Flash GUI for unlocking, flashing, and datalogging.

This software was developed to write the factory flash files to your ECU so you can return your car back to the stock tune without needing an expensive visit to the dealer!

The VW_Flash project has been developed by Brian Ledbetter and myself, with a ton of input from others in the community. A HUGE thanks for Brian for all the dev/reversing work that he put in over the last few months.

Great video! Just a couple of questions: can i use the tactrix j2534 obd adapter with the flash gui? And is the flash gui available for windows 10? Last but not least, what would be a pretty forward looking software to make changes in the ecu map in this combination?

Bro I own a seat Leon 1p 2.0 TFSI, does it work in it? It has a med 9.1 ECU, it's the same GTi Mk5.

Can someone use a copy of another company tune ? And flash .I have a is38 hybrid on my GTI but do I flash a GTI file or can I flash a golf r file ?

This might be a simple question, but I'm stuck. How do you open the program? I have python and python works as it should. I can't click the program and it run. I even try opening in cmd and it states this.
