This video explains how to download and install the Oracle Virtual box which is a GPL licensed software to run VM systems. In this video we run the Lubuntu which is a light weight Ubuntu distro. the minimum ram required is 512 MB and the VM can perform much better than a normal Ubuntu linux system in low end systems.
