I used my first Luzon hard at work for 6 months (in a factory). Based on that, I look at the model as a fighting knife, not a work knife. It will take it, but the steel doesn't hold an edge that well. (My work knife now is the aus 10 5.5" Tanto folder.)

Here is why I believe the Luzon is the finest defensive folder in mass production- everything about it is designed to stab slash and chop with almost no effort. Unlike the Godfather platform, the crossguard/finger stops are right where they should be. It comes with and will readily take a shaving edge, and rather than chip or fracture when abused it bends a little in my experience, but not enough to compromise function. The opening is lightning fast, the lockup rock solid. The single edge and folding makes it legal in the maximum number of places. It fills my medium sized hand, not sticking out fore or aft too much to make a grab easier.

It exudes the top tier engineering of someone wanting to arm people as well as possible who can't carry guns lawfully. It is a masterpiece. Thanks Lynn!

I carry my Large Luzon with me everyday, I love that knife!! Takes a keen edge and really easily too. I love the poket catch feature. It's especially fun to show your friends and see the amazement on their faces when you show them the poket catch feature! Amazing knife!

Dear Cold Steel, Please make a upgraded version with better materials, mainly blade steel. I carry one daily and if it had better edge retention I wouldn’t have to carry a second knife for task purposes. Love you guys

The Large Luzon is the best folding knife that I have, it's my EDC along with the 4max scout.
When is the extra large version coming out? I seriously want an extra large version and I bet I'm not the only one.

If you flick the Luzon xl too fast it may disengage the lockup to the right side of the frame thereby making it impossible to unlock the blade without first prying it back to the unlock left side
