Thanks for a great review! To me the Ravenscroft sounds warmer and cleaner, which I like better, but to each his own. This review was especially valuable to me because I'm once again thinking about going the dreaded controller with software route when performing. An iPad would be the easiest way to go if the software is good enough, and I'm thinking that Ravenscroft could cover piano pretty well. BTW, very nice vocal on Elton John's 'Your Song', I was hoping to hear more. I've subscribed.

Nice comparison. The Ravenscroft 275 has a very rich, pure tone. You should really mute the reverb on your vocal mic when you are talking. It's quite distracting. Just a suggestion. . .

Yamaha keyboards are generally brighter than its competitors (Kurzweil, Roland, etc). Maybe the brightness has something to do with stage performance since Yamaha keyboards will get through the mix much easier than other keyboards. And this may be the reason why Yamaha keyboards sell so well.

Not sure if it's the way its set up, but your CP88 seems to have a better dynamic range than the software.

Hi Ron, just want to ask, is your Ipad connected to a soundcard?i don't see any cable, how were you able to get that clear audio?can you share the set up pls?thanks

Wow... great comparison. Do you know if I can hook up my piano to an iPhone 15 (USBc) with Ravenscroft? I don't know how to get the sound out to the speakers since there isn't a headphone jack on the new phone.
