I think people in the comments are misinterpreting Batman’s plea to not cross the line. Batman isn’t a fool. He knows that Wonder Woman has killed and is a warrior that is willing to kill, so I doubt he’s pleading for her to not kill the Joker.

No, I think he’s pleading with her to not let the hate and rage she’ll likely feel in this moment to cloud her judgement. If she’s gonna kill, let her do it as a warrior, not as a raging Demi-god torturing/murdering an admittedly insane but still regular human. If she’s gonna kill the clown, then at least do it justly, rather than in blind murderous rage.
