About the chant:
Psalm 49 was written by the sons of Korah after recognizing their father's greed for wealth as the root of his downfall, and to teach that the purpose of one's life on earth is to enhance his spiritual development and the prepare for the world to come.

A few days ago, four employees of the French organization "SOS Chrétiens d'Orient" (SOS Christians of the Middle East) were abducted in Bagdad. This NGO provides support to the Christians of Irak, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon..., Orthodox as Catholic, by sending volunteers and humanitarian aid.
Let's pray for these volunteers and all our brothers in Faith in the Middle East.

One month ago, it was the first time our church in my village in Brandenburg, Germany did not open up the gates on christmas. I saw many old faces every time I was in there. But over the years the older ones disappeared and mates in my age dont want to check out church. This is the kind of development which is killing good and really old german traditions. Sad times these days. They all love to open up Instagram and YouTube but not their minds.

So thanks for uploading those great chants of former christian glory. I know it sounds strange, but I think it awakes an old spirit in all of us.

I’m a Catholic Christian, from time to time I discover more and more of beauty things in our brotherhood lovely Orthodox church in Christ, Recently about one month ago I had the chance to visit one rare special orthodox convent for monks with the Incorruptibility body of saint inside since 400s and it got me from inside, I participated in the mass for sometime and people who were there they really wanted to pray and praise the lord the holy mass started at mind night until the sun rise in the next morning and the convent atmosphere is stunning full of holiness no place for evil there, with very basic materials no electricity no mobile service coverage no piped water nothing of this shitty world even the road to the convent is one hard and extreme road and when you’re inside the Church hearing the hymns and chants it touches your feelings it was one experience I’ll never forget
