Regarding the controversy on when to resume the economy:

We need to remember why we decided to shut down the economy in the first place: the virus was threatening to overwhelm the hospitals, especially in hard-hit areas like NYC. If there were too few hospital beds, ICUs and ventilators in particular, the death toll would rise massively for cases that would otherwise be recoverable.

That should also be our criteria for opening the economy back up: are the hospitals and supplies in a given area adequate to treat the cases still expected to be discovered? If so, even if we're continuing to see high numbers of deaths, we should open the area up. Only if we're continuing to see new cases go up, and there's no way to treat them all should we stay closed.

This should not be done on a state-by-state basis, that's too big a unit. It needs to go more by county. There's no reason, for instance, why upstate New York has to wait until it's safe for NYC to open up.

How about reporting on the MASSIVE ICE sales collapse in Europe. EV sales across europe near 10% market share. ICE sales down 25%+ across Europe with some markets off near 40%. Bring back those reporters that said 50%/50% by 2030.

Some may not know this but the Genesis G70 2.0T is also available with 3 pedals but only with RWD...don't forget AWD is available with both the 2.0T & 3.3TT engines❗❗

Love the race in EV sales between EU and China! :D
That's what you get when you have a healthy, varied market, instead of the nonsense in the US where they let lack of regulation lead to a situation where 1 corpo dominated, and, what's worse: it's using proprietary charging system, what further discourages competition.

As a Genesis G70 owner, I'm very Happy with my purchase.
I'm not a brand snob. I get Plenty of compliments on my Genesis G70.
I test drove BMW and Mercedes first.
Neither did anything for me. Their design remains the same. I couldn't tell a 2019 model year from a 2015.
It's hard to get excited about something that you already have seen.
Don't get me wrong, both vehicles drove great, just didn't get me excited being it them.
As I mentioned, there was nothing I haven't seen from them in the last five years. Same body styles.

I also love this show. Let's show our support and share it as much as possible.

I thought Tesla was leading the mid size luxury segment in US. No reference of them?

Love this show! What a great antidote to all the "bubblegum and boy racer" car magazines" out there.

They might as well call those wheels on the Mini "Maxell Mags"... because they look reminiscent of the reels used for Maxell open-reel blank 1/4" and studio 8-track tapes! };)

In regard to the Chinese sales of EV‘s dropping, didn’t you have a Guest recently that you interviewed tell us that’s one of the reasons they have gotten rid of the subsidies and the reason for the monumental drop is because they were really like tax loopholes for nonexistent companies? I thought he said that ridesharing companies were buying them and keeping them parked or companies were building them but they got the credits whether they were purchased or not so to this point the sales have neither been organic nor have they been representative of any actual Business demand.

Cadillac comes out with a longer Escalade? [Yawn] GM innovation at its finest.

Regarding the G70. For the sake of full disclosure, the MT G70 2.0 RWD is on my short list of my next sedan. I agree with most of your comments except one. I don’t think it looks too much like a European car except maybe the Audi-ish grille, the Bentley-like crest and in the interior perhaps the BMW-like control knob and surrounding buttons.

Otherwise, I see, to my eyes, Japanese -like, lines especially, Infiniti G or Q50, Mazda 6’s Kodo style.

It does feel like a German car, in that very planted feel, as opposed to the lighter feel of the Japanese cars I mentioned.

Point of interest. If people want to buy more cars, for reasons of Social distancing, among others, will we see more coupes and sedans as many of these people will not be interested in the ofttimes oversized S/CUVs? Smaller vehicle providing a [greater] sense of privacy and feeling less unwieldy to drivers coming off of mass transit.

Dear John,

When you say "EV" do you mean Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) or are you referring to all types of Electrified Vehicles, including hybrids, Plug-in Hybrids, Fuel Cell, and so on? It would help make your dissemination of some information much clearer.

So for the price of the Exodus - I mean Genesis - I can get a #ModelY? Duh. Or DOH!!! if you fell for their ad campaign and bought one without realizing that.

Prophecy goes into production? I'm most curious how the production version will look like. It could be one of most bizarre cars on the road.
On a topic of Hyundai - shame that they don't sell the G70 in Europe. Tough market given the domination of VAG in this segment, but it looks very much like a domestic cart around here, with a bite of Asian design. I like it. Also love that they didn't cheap out on design and assembly, as it's all too common in recent years (look TM3/TMY), but that screen sticking out is just... bad. Wish they'd integrate it the same way latest Volkswagen, Audi or Volvo does - well built into dashboard. I'm sick of glued-on iPads (be it in mini size or -pro size).

Not sure why you're going in depth like that with the old G70. The all new one is a mere months away and way nicer than this current one.

For mass transit, first you must have mass. No such problem for most of our flyover states, by choice.

Filthy rich ppl deserve to be pissed off. I mean really you already have all the money while the rest of us are forced to use pictures, hopes and dreams to fuel our passion. Get over it and ride the bus like the rest of us.
