There are two different ways you can make an S sound: one with the tongue tip down and one with it up. I make it with the tongue tip down. Teeth are together and the tongue is pushing forward so the tip presses against the bottom front teeth.
Hope this helps.

Won, too, three (tree or free depending on the speaker), for, five, six, seven, ate, nine, tan.
Say this and people will believe you're counting from 1 to 10.
Read the word WIND - the only way to pronounce it correctly by knowing its meaning in advance (or the context in which it appears).
The way to master the language? Practice, practice, practice ... and watching lots of Rachel's videos.

Thanks for the video. You forgot about the silent S as in "island".

You said all. Thx! Natives rule and writers/translators just try to transcribe in letters what they learn from them.

That's a good question. I see what you're saying with FRUSTRATED, I'd say it's more of a CH sound, and that's because the R follows the T (I have a video on how TR can sound like CHR). I don't hear it really for 'understand'.
Nice ear!

The difference in the sound of CH in choice and CH in Chicago is because the ch blending sound takes on the sound of the vowel that follows the blend as in CH-I (chi) and CH-O (cho)

Congrats for offering us useful knowledge.
In the word use the "s" is pronounced as "s" when use is noun and as "z" when use is a verb.
How about the phrase "make use"?
