As far as i know "half space" is where he stands in the beginning of the sequence.
What you are referring to are the "channels". He is making runs into channels from the half space.

Teammates also have a lot to do in these situations, if your teammate is just trying to get rid of the ball, the there's no way it will end up being good for anyone

단순히 측면자원이 넓게 벌린다고 하여 하프스페이스에서 유의미한 컷백을 내줄 수 있는 것은 아닌 것 같습니다. 영상의 과르디올라나 나겔스만이 어떤 방식을 통해 하프스페이스에 진입하는 동선과 유리한 템포를 만들어내는지도 제작해주신 걸 봐보고 싶습니다!
