Only found OP about a year ago. Or when the 10Pro was released that camera arrangement that so many seem to hate, i really like.
Today the 10Pro has come down in price and the 11 is reasonably priced so i can compare the N30 to them.
And honestly. Everyday function is more or less the same.
The biggest difference i see is boot time. It takes the N30 a little longer to boot than the other two.
But once done. There is no real difference.
Coming from a general user.
The N30 is a fine phone.

Currently, I use the OnePlus 11 but, if I needed a phone in this category this would be an attractive option. My only real gripe would be their choice of processors. The Snapdragon 695 chipset has been around for a while. Personally, I really think they should have chosen the Snapdragon 7 generation 1. If they had done that, they could have ran competition to the Google pixel 7 a or even the Samsung Galaxy A54 and sold this in the mid-range category. After all, they already have the Nord n300 for the budget market.
I also wanted to add that the charger included in the box is actually the same 80 w super vooc that is included with the 11 and the pad. It's a smart charger that scales down the wattage depending on the device it is plugged into. After all, it is easier and more cost-efficient to manufacture one charger that can meet the needs of multiple OnePlus devices rather than produce multiple chargers to meet the needs of a single device. Furthermore, I really wish they would go back to type c output on their charging bricks. Type A cannot support PD charging or other formats.

Lost me at one year of software version update

200% volume mode is there.
But in my experience it does not work when your device is hooked up to Bluetooth.
There are some YouTube channels that consistently use low volume and i have to turn the volume way way up on my work truck to hear anything, i hoped the 200% would help with those channels but it seems to be disabled.
If im just listening to things without BT. I get the option every time.

It's ok, nothing to get too excited about. Last year's processor, Amoled from last year downgraded to LCD, no ultra-wide camera that are often on much cheaper budget phones, only one software update. Improvements are bigger battery and faster charging, 120hz refresh rate, bigger display, stereo speakers, more Ram, and up to date OS. Just depends on what you can live with or can't live without.

Glossy or mat doesn't matter, as i put a case on everything.
Today just about every phone feels like its got a super slick Teflon coating on it.
And the n30 is truly a loaded device. It has things on it that you just will not find on any flagship, even a OP flagship will not have the things.
Snd the 3 years of security updates it what matters. Almost everyone i know never updates the OS on their devices. Snd to be honest the majority of all budget android dont give ANY OS updates. oS or security.

One plus finally releases a phone with features that are missing on other current phones. I'm glad the list of carriers are being showned in this video. At&t is just picky and stingy when using unlocked phones on there network compared to tmobile since tmobile does not care that you have an unlocked phone since they make money from services and cell phone plans. All my unlocked phones used to work for at&t and cricket wireless but no longer compatible ever since at&t shut down there 3g network. The reason why the unlocked phones don't work is because at&t was using 3g used for making calls before the 3g service was completely shutdown. The phones have to say voice over 4g lte in the phone settings, however just because the phones settings say voice over 4g lte, it's does not guarantee that the phone you are using will work with at&t. I googled the issues with using unlocked phones on at&t and the at&t network has a white list which only allows unlocked approved phones on there network which is completely bs. The only carrier that supports all my unlocked phones are tmobile and tmobile prepaid mvno cell phone service providers. It's a pain in the ass to deal with when trying to use an unlocked phone on the at&t network. My location for tmobile sucks and I was even in the same city as the headquarters for tmobile and I was using tmobile at the time outdoors and the signal and coverage was spotty like wtf that does not make any sense at all. I used to work for cricket wireless and cricket wireless is owned by at&t and uses at&t network and the cricket wireless authorized retailer I worked for never made commissions from the phones at all. I can't speak for at&t since I never worked for at&t. There are different varieties of cricket wireless authorized retailers since the cricket wireless I worked for was not corporate but only an authorized retail store. I just wish one plus still has outdoor mode to increase the brightness of the display and make the display even brighter. I still have my one plus one and I use outdoor mode all the time with cyanogen mod as the option to use. My one plus one is set to outdoor mode and even brighter than my pixel 4a 5g since the display on my pixel 4a 5g has gotten dimmer over time and the display has gotten a yellowish tint to it and it's harder to see outdoors even with the display brightness set to 100% 24/7 with brightness on manual mode, autobrightness turned off since autobrightness is too dim, power savings turned off, dark mode turned off. My one plus one colors are washed out but the display is very bright which is something that I always have enabled with everything that I use with a display. The brighter the display is, the more I lean towards it. I'm used to very bright displays.
