Wilma Rodrigues, Founder and CEO, Saahas Zero Waste | 4th Sustainable World Conclave 2023

BW Sustainable World Conclave | Bengaluru Chapter | 21st September 2023 Wilma Rodrigues is the founder and CEO of Saahas Zero Waste (SZW), a social enterprise committed to implementing holistic zero waste solutions across India. This registered MSME, believes that in the 21st century businesses must not just talk but deliver on environmental and social impact.

Wilma moved to Bangalore from Mumbai in 1995. She is a former journalist with the Times of India group and BusinessWorld Magazine.

India got its first set of Municipal Solid Waste rules in 2000 and this was the trigger for Wilma to step into the waste management sector so as to support implementation of the rules. She first set up NGO Saahas in 2001 and then a business model SZW in 2013. The company today brings together Nature People and Technology so that waste is managed in a manner where up-to 98% of waste is diverted from a landfill and maximum resources is recovered

About the Conclave: Building upon the success of previous editions in New Delhi, BW Businessworld announced the 4th edition- The Bengaluru chapter of Sustainable World Conclave, scheduled for September 21st, The conclave focused on clean tech, digital technology for sustainability, supply chain management, waste management, social equality, Renewable Energy and more.
