I bet Jeff had something to do with the delay.

The good old FAA out date when it comes to rocket launches and working with a company like SpaceX which as a higher launching schedule than the old Dinosaur Aerospace Companies.

The toilet situation is obviously more serious for the females, since the males can just go outside.

For space toilets Space X should ask some advice to Howard Wolowitz from Caltech ... lol !

If the FAA limits SpaceX to five launches a year, Elon will not want to waste a launch for 2022 if he can get it done this year. He'll do his damndest to get one done this year.

I know its popular to blame the FAA for every Spacex delay, but so far the they have been busy building building the most complicated launch facility in the world. They still have a minimum of one month to finalize tank farm, integration tower, and launch tower. Another month just, to get all raptors on the booster to have successful static fires which could go on for weeks if multiple engine swaps are needed. 2021 for an orbital launch has always been an optimistic date even without having to wait on FAA approval. I still expect FAA approval by late November or December and actually wouldn't be surprised if Spacex is not ready. 3 months is going to fly by.

The brownish tinge on the cupola is an ultraviolet blocking filter. The oven will be a nice upgrade for the tourist version. Possibly a microwave oven paired with a mini-freezer for gourmet food and cold champagne on orbit? It works if it's in a special container with a straw and a valve in the straw. Champagne bottles have natural autogenous pressurization.

SpaceX should have all this done with the FAA before they broke ground. There's nothing down in Boca chica, but miles and miles and miles of beach. It's unreal that they're bothering about this little section of property that they are on. That should have been done before they broke ground.

Plausible possibilities for improving crew comfort provided by future Crew Dragon capsules intended for prolonged orbital flights by small numbers of people seem limited to two main options.

Extend the capsule by incorporating what is currently a detachable cargo section as a permanent feature with the heat shield relocated to it's base, or scaling up the Crew Dragon vehicle altogether.

Provided it did not interfere with the stability of the capsule during reentry, descent and water landing/flotation the extension option seems more easily attainable for a number of reasons I doubt I need to enumerate.

Environmentalists today would rather see our species die out just to save a plant or rodent! Such "modern" - misplaced attitudes we can LIVE WITHOUT!
