f (x) = 3 x (x-1) +1
S (x) = 3 (x+1) x(x-1) /3 +x + c
S (x) = (x+1) x(x-1) + x + c
now S(1) = f(1)
hence 1+c = 1 or c= 0
S(x) = (x+1) x (x-1) + x
S(10) = 11×10×9+10 = 1000

similarly if
f(x) = x then
S(x) = (x+1) x/2 + c
S(1) = f(1) gives c = 0 hence
S(x) = x(x+1)/2
