Was upfront live for this set on Dec 2 and it was INCREDIBLE! He was told to finish at like 0130/0200 AM and he went 40 minutes over because he loves the crowd/his fans THAT MUCH. and he stayed behind for 20 minutes just high five-ing and talking to people well past 3 AM. true man of the people. This video does a pretty great job capturing the energy that lasted ALL NIGHT. Soundcheck is great, his adaptability....my favorite DJ. period.

You can tell James Hype has the mind of a producer, not just a DJ. This man isn't just playing records, he is layering vocal acapellas onto tracks and creating his own breakdowns and build ups using effects. He's remixing live and picking bangers. It's not too cheesey like EDM, it's not too monotonous like progressive house, it's just right.

You know, I’m an old guy. But the more I watch this guy the more respect I have for him. What a mastery of his craft. I love his blend of old and new into a seamless creation. Pioneer should bow down to this guy. His mastery of those CDJs is incredible. On top of that, the fact that those units can take that abuse is a testament to Pioneer.

This guy is so underrated. The only DJ who can work so well with 4 channels (my opinion). He should be among the big men at tomorrowland etc. I have spent hours watching him he has only increased my love for music and DJing would not be where I am now in my dj career without him it is only the beginning but he continues to inspire me. Deck 3: FX (and i dont mean flanger/echoes/delays) i mean Jet effects, sine waves, Static, White noise, ect.
Deck 4: Drum Machine loaded with pre-cued sounds.
