Idech Power Rotary Scissors aka Landscape Blade

Ego Multi Head system: Don't buy Ego products on Amazon, Ego doesn't recognize it for warranty.

These are expensive luxury lawn item, but an amazing product as an alternative to string timers aka weed whackers aka whipper snippers aka nipsnippers aka shin greenifyers.

I used the Ego MultiHead system to power the Scissors. I bought it as a combo EGO POWER+ 8" EDGER & POWER HEAD system. I bought this one because it was the cheapest combo of a power head plus an attachment. I knew I wasn't going to use the attachment because I'd put on the Idech Scissors in it's place.

I know this is an old thread but I found it trying to figure out how to mount it and make it straight when putting it on the edger as a donor. You may have figured it out by now but super easy to drill a 2nd hole in the shaft of the edger. Viola motor and handle are upright and at the correct angle to use the scissors.

oh my god!! thank you for posting this video!! I was searching a lot for videos or forums who uses Ego multi head Edger to swap with rotary scissors. Most people uses the trimmer so I was guessing there must be some reason why nobody used the edger with rotary scissors. Did you figure out and made it work??
seems like there are multiple suggestions.. Can you post a video how you made it work? I'm not super handy, but I would like to try. thank you..!!

Hi Koven, I’m planning to do this setup. I was wondering if you were able to make it work and how. I don’t want to get the string trimmer kit because its more expensive than the edger kit. And I guess I can replace the edger once in a while when I need to.

I bought one of these over the winter. I put it on a Husqvarna trimmer and had kind of the same problem. The trimmer bogged down, hard and wouldn’t turn the thing. I put a drill on the “inner shaft” and made the unit spin around. After a few minutes it loosened up and spun fine on the trimmer. Hoping it works fine when it actually comes time to use it.

Check your battery level, it tends to do that when there’s not enough juice, or the inner rod might not be seated not broken.

Nice 👍🏼 love that tool but it’s a bit on the heavy side, with my neck and tennis elbow injury I could not fully enjoy using it. I figured i’d rather have somebody put it to good use than rust away in my garage. You made a comment in one of my vid that you wanted one so I told Striperman if it doesn’t work out with him, pass it to you. 👊🏼😎

The injection ports for the grease are tiny and you need a squeeze tube with a tapered dispenser don't you? I don't want to spend the money and shipping on the maruyama ep grease but buying the tubes of grease for cheaper creates the challenge of how to inject it doesn't it?
