The Natural History Institute Speaker Series presents a talk and reading by author Wynne Brown, whose most recent book, The Forgotten Botanist: Sara Plummer Lemmon's Life of Science and Art, was released on November 1st. Sara Lemmon was a remarkable naturalist and artist in the 1880s, and is the namesake of Arizona's Mount Lemmon. In this presentation, Brown shares the backstory of researching the book along with examples of Sara Lemmon’s remarkable artwork.

Wynne Brown is an independent scholar, editor, poet, graphic designer, and author of More Than Petticoats: Remarkable Arizona Women and Falcon Guide to Trail Riding Arizona.

The Natural History Institute is recognized by the IRS as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
