Since this was a battle song against Moebius, an enemy nobody ever knew about, I started with the idea of creating a challenging piece of music that had never been done before. I tried to create an atmosphere like a mad party of lunatics with the chorus, and the synthesizer is meant to convey the grotesqueness and ability of Moebius. I am invincible! I would be happy if you can listen to this and get the upper hand when you want to think that you are invincible (lol). [ACE (TOMOri Kudo)]

if you're listening in stereo, the male half of the choir goes back and forth for a bit, and it sounds almost like they're singing in a ∞ pattern =O

What I really love about this track is that the first 30 seconds or so give you the feeling of extreme imminent danger, like you're fighting a final boss. It really gives you the sense of how dangerous Moebius really are. Nothing in Aionios can stand against them aside from Ouroboros. The rest of the theme keeps the feeling of danger, like one slip-up means you're screwed, but also enforces the game's theme of the 'endless now' with the music routinely looping in certain parts, going in and out.

Edit: I came back to this at some point and, I might be insane, but is anyone else hearing a distant flute at around 0:10 when the beat drops?

So, I know there is soon to be an influx of xenoblade fans, talking about the recent trailer for X’s definitive edition. So I’m gonna use this as an opportunity to give a little fan theory. I think that the Ghosts are actually X’s equivalent to Moebius. They went unused unfortunately in the original X outside of the opening cutscenes, but there’s hope we will get to see them in action this time. But based on what we know in the story of the original, I believe the Ghosts were the end result of whatever made the original Samaarians vanish from the face of the universe, as explained by the Ma’non. In other words, I think the Ghosts and the True Samaarians are one and the same. And that the real reason Luxar hates Humans, is because they were inadvertently following in the Samaarian’s footsteps. Creating the life hold and using Mimeosomes as a way to effectively cheat death.
