Everything Sylvanas has done makes sense tactically, she got rid of a major Alliance stronghold on Kalimdor, bled the Alliance military during the siege of Lordaeron, and made sure the Alliance couldn't hold the ruins.

The only thing she failed to do was plan for Deus Ex Jaina.

I find it sad that the orcs founded the horde and now there isn't a single one of them among their leaders :(

"Or perhaps you will have a chance to say hello to your son." That's even colder than threatening to raise Saurfang the Elder to serve the Forsaken in undeath.

Funny how Arthas used the plage and abominations to kill everything and then raise them as living dead and now Sylvanas is doing the same.
She's a Lich King wannabe but way weaker so she plays hit and run instead of like Arthas did

4:30 that is the point when every sane orc, troll and tauren should have said "Hell no!"

Also, has anyone else noticed that, with all these cutscenes, the fact that this video is twenty minutes and the awesome animation, Blizzard could probably make WoW into an awesome 3D animated cartoon?

How on earth is Lor'thermar ok with everything that's been happening? Especially the burning of Teldrassil? I'd like to think the Blood Elves would be strongly against it considering their own homeland was destroyed not long ago. Also Sylvanas using blight and raising undead on not only Alliance but Horde soliders aswell. And he just sits back like a snake. I used to like him but it seems he's just another lapdog of Sylvanas.

And why is Lorthermar going along with this shit? At least baine showed contempt toward sylvanas. Lorthermar seem to be happy with this shit? Like what? "With pleasure?" What?

Honestly, the sole scenario of the siege of Lordaeron can't explain what is going on between alliance and horde since it's something that goes on since the discovery of Azerite. And the scenario, while not perfectly, exposes this beautifully.

Sylvanas is the leader of a force that has always been in contrast with alliance, but somehow they always managed to tollerate each other enough to defeat bigger foes. The presence of a bigger enemy was mor eimportant than anything, and since the enemy to face was massive they even gathered a lot of resources, compromises and allies on the way.

Now, the enemy is no more. Azerite, something that has the potential to be the equivalent of nuclear power, appears. As soon as the horde's goblins discover it she realizes the potential as well as the alliance starts to interfere and to intercept horde for azerite. Alliance ammasses a navy to bring an army to Silitus. They slowly but steadly start to get at each other's troaths again, and this time they have bigger guns with them.

Here, the deal: remove the port of Telrassil, and to ensure subjucation of the night elves destroy their morale by killing Malfurion ( because, apparently, Tyrande means shit ) so they have lesser control of Kalimdor. things don't go as she expected, the alliance navy is at Tanaris while they siege teldrassil but the Night elves seem to not surrender to hope. That's when she has the idea to torch Teldrassil.

This not only cuts their supply of azerite but also angers the alliance, seeking for vengeance. She uses that too in her favor, getting the most she can: she evacuates Lordaeron city and then denies them their conquest. Alliance loses an army, horde partly too, but that makes them backtrack on the route to Silitus too.

On all of this, the horde leaders have different dynamics with her thought not everyone expresses them. Especially Saurfang and Sylvanas contrast each other, which is sad. But they don't refuse, because they know, deep down, that while not "morally right" Sylvanas is being effective and purposeful. That's why Vol'Kin proposed her as a warchief - she is ruthless, she is effective, and she has seen what happens when you lose too much faith of the other members of the horde.

Saurfang was a warrior that did things far, far worse than what happened to Teldrassil under the demonic influence, and he survived and regretted that - he wants a different war, with different means. Sylvanas instead was *borne* out of it during Arthas assault to Silvermoon and she knows that war is like that, coupled with her being undead and being quite ruthless herself.

On the alliance side, instead, Anduin is just a boy that wants to be honorful but is blind to the realities of the duties of a king and to what he does - he says that "only one person wanted this war" but that is a total political lie - he wanted it too, over azerite, and Sylvanas mocks him for it. Anduin is a decoy from the other characters than then can act as they like - from jaina's displease with horde, Glenn displease with the undead and so on.

So, the siege happened. Sylvanas did what she could to resist the alliance but ultimately they defeat them, but got their win denied.

Holy shit, Saurfang taken a prisoner? Damn this expansion means business

Lor'themar says "Blightcaller" with such a disgust, even though he is the only Horde leader to not openly oppose her actions (exception being Gallywix) you can still see that Sylvanas as a Warchief isn't regarded well even amongst her own people even one who is as she was once.

So many compare Sylvanas to the Lich King and Arthas, it made me think...

Got to wonder how is Bolvar these days. No one considered he was actually gaining strength, nor that he earned the Ebon Blade as allies. He actually behaved quite odd in Legion, one might say, like a Lich King. :P Maybe Ner'zhul is regaining control, if that is so, the Forsaken should slowly feel his influence too.

Imagine that this rouse was to lure the young king into his death, then Sylvanas raises him as the Lich King's newest champion. Sylvanas doesn't neccessarily need to know this. Ner'zhul can be subtle too, manipulate slowly, without the victim realizing, like he did with Arthas, also if the Lich King made a bargain with her, the independance of her people in exchange for a powerful new champion (remember, he failed to raise Tirion). That would work too.

Also where is Arthas' corpse? Jaina is back in the picture, Arthas may have been in cold storage just so he could mess with/eliminate her. That could be some messed up story, especially if Jaina falls, and then gets raised.

If Ner'zhul is back, he isn't retarded enough to start off with a full-on plague or an invasion at once. I'd suspect it would be similar to the Cult of the Damned. Infiltration, slow manipulation, weaken everyone until his forces are ready to annihilate all. The Legion was Ner'zhul's enemy too, their invasion must have been the reason why the Lich King stirred as soon as the demons landed. Now that his enemies and former masters had been dealt with, who would stop him from restarting his puppetshow? :P

Also if we can believe the whispers in Aleria's head, the Void fears Sylvanas, that fear is possibly not truly about her, but about undeath. A war between the Old Gods and the Scourge could break out, with us stuck in the middle of it, both sides attacking us and one another too. Could be hectic. Also the 2 new big capitals of BFA could be there to house the Alliance and the Horde respectively after both the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor fallen to the ravages of war between the forces of the Void and the Scourge. :D

Do you think that Sylvanas still loves Alleria deep down inside??

Is it me, or does it seem that her Ladyship seems a bit tired and bored with it all? That if she's not being at war with, whomever, she's brooding. Part of me feels sorry for her, b/c she knows what waits for her IF she were to die!
In the beginning, she was committed to having revenge on Arthas, and starting up her own legion. Now, it 's just another day at the office.
I think she'll do anything to keep the feeling of being bored at bay, EVEN if there are mistakes.
Thoughts?
