Agility Robotics Broadens Relationship with Amazon

Digit will first be tested at Amazon’s robotics research and development facility just south of Seattle. This development broadens the relationship between the two companies, as Agility is already part of the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund.

At Agility, we make robots that are made for work. Our robot Digit works alongside us in spaces designed for people. Digit handles the tedious and repetitive tasks meant for a machine, allowing companies and their people to focus on the work that requires the human element.

"Why does a robot need to drink?" "I don't NEED to drink. I can quit any time I want."

What about fully automated warehouses that are neither designed for humans nor humanoid robots?
Wouldn't that be more efficient?

Excellent! Could you please create a video that breaks down all the moving parts, including real stats such as battery charge times, factory walking speeds, real loads, and insights on operating costs? Additionally, will you merchandise a 12-inch (30cm) toy version for kids and a collector's version?

Demand full automation now. Free humans from work. 🗿

LOOK CLOSER all of the totes are empty. How do the robots handle shifting weight?

It's like how cars replaced horses for transportation. But, whatever happened to all the horses after that... ?

I'm so glad I've never given any money to Amazon. At least not directly. I'm sure I've used something that uses aws.
Cool robot though, I'm actually still all for it, but I'm just waiting for the masses to realise that universal basic income isn't a far away future at the rate we're going.

If their "eyes" are screens, why not add black dots as "iris" and have them look in the direction they are about to go (as humans do)

This is so cool. One day I will have my own army of robots working for me, things in the future will be mad cheap.

Warum Beine ???

Für was ????

Amazon should have done this 10 years ago with Boston Dynamics.

Robots work for 24/7 no rest, no sleep, no food nothing, just charging battery.

Human take years to learn how to walk properly without fall and faster overtime in one body. If those robot are ai and hive mind then with multi body they can learn faster.

The majority of these videos are bots picking seemingly empty boxes and putting them on something else, which makes no sense in a real world scenario. I want to see them actually carry out work that is useful and requires more than just point A to point B

Slow a* robots! That is a failure in my opinion! You need a fast strong base (wheels?). You don't need legs on a robot in that application.
