Mud - Dyna-Mite (Live on Austrian TV, 1974)

Mud was a famous glam rock band from Britain. School friends Dave Mount, Les Gray, Ray Stiles and Rob Davis founded the group in 1966. In the early to mid-1970s, they became highly successful in Europe with hit songs such as "Tiger Feet", "Crazy", "Dyna-Mite" or "Rocket". The group eventually disbanded in 1980.

Spotlight was a music show for the youth, which was aired between 1968 and 1978 by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). It was the counterpart to the shows "Beat Club" or "Musikladen" in Germany.

For any younguns watching this in 2024...Guitarist Rob Davis on the right is responsible for writing dance hits including "Can't Get You Out of My Head" for Kylie Minogue,  Fragma's "Toca's Miracle" and Spiller's "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)".

We booked Mud in 1977 for our Uni Christmas Party. They were fantastic and when the gig was really going Les shouted “ Dynamite “ and two thunder flashes went off! The air was 30% chemical and 70% an entire audience farting as one. 😅
