Billion-dollar plan to improve Texas highways

SAN ANTONIO - The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Congressional Series inviting state lawmakers to discuss priorities across the state.
Today they addressed the booming growth along I-35.
U.S. Congressman Greg Cesar, who represents the northeast part of San Antonio, was there as well as east Austin to Hays County.
Cesar talked about a multi-county effort to pursue Amtrack to connect the booming cities and make getting between them easier. He also touched on the importance of affordable housing across our region, and the Grid Act that was passed this year in Congress, following the fallout of the winter storm in 2021.
Ercot has been critical of the Grid Act, saying it's too costly to realistically implement.
