This is literally racism. She’s telling him what his life is like, based purely on the color of his skin. Making assumptions about his comfort based on her preconceptions of his life. Saying that he can’t understand her because she has a different skin color, but she can know everything about him because he’s only white. This is literally racist. The guy was wrong though, she won’t be more comfortable just being herself, because who she is, is a hateful, racist, self-imposed victim.

What’s weird is he specifically told her it was okay to be comfortable and she argued and said no I can’t!! Like, he just told you this was a safe space, if you don’t feel comfortable now, it’s on you. You are choosing to be uncomfortable. Also as a woman, we feel uncomfortable in many public situations when we are alone, but you don’t see me playing that victim card everywhere.

Yes, it sounds a great deal like prejudice. None of us knows what anyone else has gone through or experienced. I've been in situations where I didn't feel comfortable being myself. It's okay.
