The T800 has been the vocational truck standard for years. With the T880 here, how do they compare? Which one fits what application? Let's take a look into this a bit farther.

T800 100%. Always looked great. Love the look when floater tires are used on the front end. Last page in the Kenworth T800 brochure, beautiful green T800 with a studio sleeper.

People thought that the T880 was going to push the T800 out of production, but here many years later it's still hanging on strong considering. You said something that stood out to me how you said how these are different trucks and you also said how you can tell that they come from the same manufacturer. Which can be said about the W990 and W900, different trucks, yet from the same manufacturer. It's all about what works for you and what's your preference. It's ok if someone likes one over the other and that's why we have choices and options.

T800 with dual breathers looks the best

Nice videos, gotta say that I'm a fan of the T800 over the newer style, I've owned a wide and narrow cab and while the slightly increased space is definitely nice, the narrow cab, well it's cozy and feels like a hug, and that's just nice.

Can stock T800 be built to an OTR work horse for reefer, van and or for flatbed?

Great video. I’m partial to the T880 for cab. I’d drive either one though! 😊

I run a 09 t800 with a cat motor. Im 6'1" and it can get kinda cramped at times when im out on a 3 day run in a daycab. But i wont give that truck up for anything, perfect size and set up for what i do everyday. Plus mine has those nifty rounded corner windows. Havent found anything with that kind of visibility yet. And ive run a lot of different day cabs

I personally like the T800 better. It is a true classic. Have never driven a T880, but I have a T800. Logged a lot of miles with a T800, and well It was the best truck I have ever driven. I feel that some of to days trucks look like spaceships. That's what I feel about the T880. The T800 is like a 57 chevy, a true classic!

Well Josh you know which truck I’ll but you should do a segment on the T800 HH. 👍

T880 all day for me, the bigger cab is greatly appreciated for someone over 6 foot tall. I don't like having the ignition key only two inches away from my knee like the cab of the T800 is set up. Though I must disagree about the eight bag air ride, as that is what my T800 has and it is the roughest riding air ride I have ever driven.

Thinking about buying an automatic t800 with 250k miles, are these transmissions reliable for local side dump hauling?

You are right for day cab ill go with the new cab but long haul not all the lesson been learned. i drive a 2015 t680 waiting for my 2007 w900l to get back from engine rebuilt and im a little disapointed all the storage apart the wardrobe dont close properly. The Areo sleeper is still king for me.

When I got out of the T800 that I had brand new back in 2007 and got in my 1st T880 back in 2014 you couldn't get me to go back to my T800. The space and how it felt a drove were enough reasons not to. For starters once I saw pictures and that Kenworth video I liked the truck . I had already determined that the T880 was gonna be my next truck and pitched that to the boss. That truck was spec'd in late 2013 and built in May of 2014 and took delivery in early July. On my 2nd T880 and I don't see myself going back to a 1.9 meter cab truck. I do wished that the T880 had the diamond tuck/trim headliner.
It's mixed feelings between these 2 great trucks hear at C.L.S. some like one ovee the other and the boss is neutral when it comes to both trucks.
Another great video and I look forward to seeing what's next

Love the fact that they didn't discontinue the W900 and the T800

I drive a 2013 kw t800 with duel external breathers and duel stacks with an aluminum end dump I love the classic look! Down side is I only have 120 gal fuel capacity, a lot of evenings I come in to the yard/fuel island pretty much on empty!

Kenworth T800 the old boah all the way. We got a 250k mile one that is excellent. 8 speed Eaton. Enjoyable trick to drive. Used to be a drywall boom truck the forks grapple got took off it. It’s gonna probably get a Fassi or a Cormach boom installed on it with a hook and winch system. Motor is a C15 Acert 475HP, trucks a 2006. It’s got a prentice boom on it currently we can’t do recovery work with that so it’s coming off and being sold. We are thinking about installing a heavy duty long reach fassi boom or cormach boom, and a winch system and hook grapple so we can swing and have it bend places for recovery work. We still leave the bed on the truck too to put the vehicle/rubble etc on. May add rear outriggers. The truck only has it in the front. It was a drywall truck originally. Took good care of.
