Do cheap car cockpit sprays really work, or are they just a fancy money pit gimmick?

In this video I'm going to try out a cheap car cockpit cleaning spray I picked up from a local shop here called "Action". I normally just use textile cleaners or some sort of soapy water and then wax it off using "OKE" plastic wax, which I think works great by the way and lasts forever. The SONAX cockpit cleaner costs around 2.70,- ..... well, let's put it to the test!

The spray claims: It will minimize or avoid light reflections, work as a dust repellent, "care" for the materials [whatever that means] and maintain the cockpit's "matte" appearance.
