You know you can get the lava chicken joint to actually give out the chicken you're cooking, right?

Just put the chicken to be cooked on a half slab and the lava will cook it without destroying the item. You can then collect that cooked chicken with a hopper. I continue to be amazed people don't know about lava chicken cookers in Minecraft, they have been a thing for forever.
