📂 Replace Files 📂 , Skip, Let Me Decide. Windows 10 Solved - Keep Both.

In Microsoft Windows 10, when you try to organize files, you will sometimes be surprised at the lack of options. You might even get the "the destination has 288 files with the same names dialog box!" You are stuck without a way to keep both files. In this video, I show you how to do a workaround for this problem.

You can click "let me decide" then click the two check boxes above the line: []files from []files already and it renames

IF YOU ARE TRANSFERRING FROM DIFFERENT FORMATTED DRIVES WINDOWS WONT GIVE THE OPTION TO KEEP BOTH. That is why this problem usually happens when dumping files from an external HD to your C drive. Try it with files on the same drive and you’ll see it works.

Because of the several windows updates some of my dead dog Spike videos got replaced i pressed Skip and when it finished i saw that the videos were replaced i even tried to get the drive to a data recovery service and they couldn´t recover anything...Be careful with the updates this has never happened to me before...windows 10 is full of bugs...I feel so sad and miserable...:(

you can just select compare and check of all the files that have the same name the it will ad 1 2 3 4 or how meny they are and its renamed

my skip button for files that you don't want to copy is missing, I mean it's convenient since it will skip the file which is already exist

My problem is that when I copy and paste a folder to other disk where the folder already exists it does NOT replace the existing folder but adds another folder with the same name followed by "COPY 1". Example; If I copy an updated folder named DOG to another disk which also has a folder named DOG it will leave the folder DOG unchanged on the target disk and create another folder on the target disk named DOG COPY 1. please solve this.

im having a similar but different problem, 2 actually. so i created a backup of a folder that i store projects in on my pc to an external ssd and not thinking aboyt it, started saving mac projects in it as well. now i have both mac and pc projects in it as well as duplicates of pc projects, some completely the same and some updated. how can i sort through these and remove all the outdated projects, as well as separate mac and pc specific projects to their own folders?
