Το Μικροχώρι είναι μικρός οικισμός της Ανατολικής Αττικής που βρίσκεται βορειανατολικά του Καπανδριτίου, χτισμένο σε υψόμετρο 460 μέτρων. Ο πληθυσμός του σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2011 είναι 578 κάτοικοι. Το χωριό ονομαζόταν Βιλιατζίκι ή Βιλλιότι ή Βιλλαντζίκ ή Βελλιατζίκι μέχρι το 1927 οπότε και μετονομάστηκε σε Μικροχώρι. Το έχτισαν μετακινηθέντες Αρβανίτες από τα Βίλλια, οι οποίοι ήρθαν δίπλα στο Καπανδρίτι και έφτιαξαν το Βιλλιότι, τα μικρά Βίλλια δηλαδή (σημερινό Μικροχώρι). Το Βιλλιότι λέγεται και Βιλιατζίκι από την αρβανίτικη λέξη νιε τσικ που σημαίνει λίγο, τμήμα. Έτσι, Βιλιατζίκι σημαίνει τμήμα από τα Βίλλια.

Ρεματιά Βαρνάβα.
Η πρόσβαση του είναι εύκολη, και σε αποζημιώνει η εμπειρία που ζεις με την πεζοπορία κατά μήκος της ρεματιάς, θαυμάζοντας τα χρώματα της φύσης, τον πανέμορφο πλατανότοπο και το θέαμα του φυσικού μνημείου.
Πρόκειται για ίσως τον πιο κοντινό και οικονομικό προορισμό σε λιγότερο από 1 ώρα από την Αθήνα. Μπορείτε να πιείτε καφεδάκι στα παγκάκια πάνω από τη ρεματιά, στο λεγόμενο Κιόσκι, απολαμβάνοντας το πράσινο της φύσης και τα παραμυθένια τοπία της, με τα γεφυράκια και τους πλατανότοπους και να περπατήσετε κατά μήκος του ρέματος απέναντι από τη γέφυρα.
Ένα έχω να σου πω… σου προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα να το επισκεφθείς!

Mikrochori is a small settlement of Eastern Attica located northeast of Kapandriti, built at an altitude of 460 meters. Its population according to the 2011 census is 578 inhabitants. The village was called Viliatziki or Villioti or Villandzik or Velliatziki until 1927 when it was renamed Mikrohori. It was built by displaced Arvanites from Villas, who came next to Kapandriti and built Villioti, that is, the small Villas (today's Mikrohori). Villioti is also called Viliatjiki from the Albanian word nie chik which means a little, part. Thus, Viliadziki means part of the Villas.

Rematia Varnavas.
Its access is easy, and you will be compensated by the experience you live by hiking along the ravine, admiring the colors of nature, the beautiful plane tree and the sight of the natural monument.
It is probably the closest and most economical destination in less than 1 hour from Athens. You can have a coffee on the benches above the stream, in the so-called Kiosk, enjoying the greenery of nature and its fairy-tale landscapes, with the small bridges and plane trees, and walk along the stream opposite the bridge.
I have one thing to tell you... I strongly recommend you to visit it!
