12 years old in 1988, my neighbor had a garage sale, i wasnt really into music at the time but he had a stack of albums for sale and Powerage was on top, i thought the cover looked neat, so i bought it for 25 cents. I put it on my parents turn table and the rest is history, all of a sudden i wanted a guitar for my birthday. Ive been a fanatical guitar player since i was 13. Im 44 years old now, i owe it all to this life changing album

44 years ago today we lost Bon. Just an unbelievable tragedy and a huge loss for rock n roll.
RIP Bon. We will never forget you.

Bon was the the absolute epitome of a perfect rock n roll front man.

There hasn't been and will never be another like him.

Down Payment Blues is easily one of their best tracks ever, imo of course.

I think Powerage is one of the greatest rock n roll albums ever made. It's a true Rock n Roll Classic!

Powerage is a true hidden gem not many seem to know about it, arguably as good as any ACDC album, or you could just say this is their best album like I do

I am pleased to read the comments of like minded fans. This is my favorite AC DC album of all time. I don't understand why so many overlook it.

Perfect, flawless album, zero duds. VERY few bands can pull this off, not even the Beatles. Bon, Malcolm, RIP.

Listen to that voice.. can you hear that? it's called conviction.. the firm belief in what is being expressed.. That's why Bon is the greatest frontman ever ! The true embodiment of Rock'n Roll!

Sin City is what made me buy Powerage. 40 years later, this album still kicks my ass

What's next to the moon is my absolute favorite. It seems to be overlooked as one of ac/dc's best songs

Always one of my favorite albums. My dad got a serious stereo system when I was in the 3rd grade. I had this album and the Let there be Rock album. Parents not home, older guy across the street had been cranking Bruce Springsteen…..I would crank Powerage as we played bad white guy basketball in my driveway….I got respect in my neighborhood from the older kids because I played some bad ass music, shaking the windows and the foundation….Miss the 70’s into the 80’s. Anyway you could hear this stereo 2 blocks away, and I was only around 6-7 on the volume. …anyway I couldn’t hear the Bruce songs anymore.

I'm 18 months old and I listen to this kind of music, other toddlers my age listen to Winnie the Pooh and shit like that. I was born in the wrong generation.

This is the album you never hear songs from or anyone mention, but it's so rocking and essential to everyone who's ever bought it. We all had the experience; didn't know what to expect, didn't see any of the "classic" songs like Big Balls or Highway to Hell, but we turned this whole album front to back loving every second.

In my opinion their most sophisticated album.

If you're looking for the best AC/DC albums, Powerage and Let There Be Rock are right up there. Two of the best rock n roll albums ever. Angus rightly gets most of the kudos, but Malcolm really shows why he's (arguably) the best rhythm guitarist ever.
