Jakob's 3:56 was The Mile (1609m) not the 1500m. While 3:40 seems the 1500m.

As I understand it Jakob’s style of training is very based around aerobic capacity and recovery allowing him to steadily improve over a long period of time, yeah they’re comparable now but this kid won’t touch Jakob in his professional career

Truth is, there ar3 so many better athletes than those who may win at the Olympics, World Meets or Commonwealth Games, but absolute truth is takes money to be able to support your career as an athlete. If you don't have that, your just going to be good at whatever level supports you which is usually just till the end of school - 18-19 years of age. You may do your state run programs and great. You achieved but not going to get any further without money to train with dedication. Our country does not support Athletics.

kudos to him running that fast as a 16 year old but people are already making bold predictions as if he’s gonna be more accomplished than jakob in the future. several people burn out throughout their career. best of luck to him but there’s no point in making predictions like that so early on like this

WR: 3:39 - Myers has just over one & a half months to get that.
+ little over 13 months to crack his 3:31 WR, not out of the realm of possibility but considering how good Jakob is it’s hard to see someone surpassing him.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see it but money is safe with Jakob holding those records for years to come.

There is no denying Cameron Myer's talent but he hasn't accomplished anything yet. Junior records do NOT necessarily translate to success later. Get back to me when Cameron Myers can consistently run sub 3:30 for 1, 500m and be the favorite in every race and still win.
