That's how flipping works. It usually only pays off when you do the work yourself.

They got a great deal!! No boat yard would have ever put the love, pride, and passion you put into her . The whole thing made me want to eagerly watch every episode and now looking forward to your new boat and new adventures 👍

I really appreciate everyone that takes a house, boat, car, truck, or RV that’s seen better days and puts it back right & makes it even better than it was originally on the showroom floor.
Thanks.

You’re doing a useful service, as well. Fixing instead of replacing can have a bigger impact than any environmental program

Unpopular opinion: doing things for the experience/journey is so much greater than the money that it may bring in or take away

That was such an interesting, accurate, and informative way of explaining the ‘profit’ you made on your boat! 😎

Start a company to repair the boat. As an employee, you will get paid for doing repairs. When you sell the boat for 89, 000 but have 370000 in money owed, you can write off the loss against the next boat. That’s one way that the rich use money to make more money and avoid taxes

Can someone explain to me what kind of “broker” makes 2, 5K on a 100-dollar sale ?

When I got my first job the minimum wage was $2.85 an hour. Nice to know someone made less than I did lol

How much did the YouTube channel bring in? And how much extra time was put into editing etc? We need All the numbers !

You have to also add in the fact that actual marine engineers would have been 20x faster than you because this boat wouldn't have costed more than 25k in labor with 2 actual marine engineers.

That’s great profit. The real value comes in determining whether it was worth your time? In my head I feel as if it was. What else would you have been doing with that time? You were making your spare time, productive and enjoying it while making a financial gain in the end. If you didn’t want to do it, you could have easily just as sat at home and watched Netflix and lifetime movie reruns while making nothing productive of your time. Great job. the only thing is did you hold it for more than 12 months or less? That’s like a 15% difference in taxes.

Wow! You two did a fantastic job on this boat. It looks brand new and super comfortable for indoor living at the end of the day. It seems that you might be up in the Pacific Northwest?

Not everything is about profit, you've enabled new owners to enjoy the home you've loved for over a year!
