'For those who support Palestine, here's what i have to say: The first Arab-Israeli war had two main phases, the first being the 1947-1948 civil war, which began on 30 November 1947, a day after the United Nations voted to adopt the Partition Plan for Palestine, which divided the territory into Jewish and Arab sovereign states, and an international Jerusalem (UN Resolution 181). Partition was accepted by the Jewish leadership, but rejected by Palestinian Arab leaders and the Arab states. This shows the uncooperative nature of the Palestinians, which has continued to the modern era as seen in the Intifada attacks, and what we are seeing with Hamas. Israel has done nothing but seek peace with its neighbours, but the Arabs always squander it in the end. Whenever there's an Arab-Israeli war, it's the Arabs that start it. I do wish for peace in the Levant, but both sides must work toward it.
