After printing money for a decade, are you expecting a different outcome?

They put Lagarde, a criminal ex-finance minister, at the head of the ECB because they needed somebody who has no clue on how to do this job and how to run this entity. A big turmoil is coming and the Euro will fall sharply. The problem is that last time it falled it was at higher levels, today it's at around parity with USD and CHF, which means that we will probably see it at around 0, 70 cents with USD and CHF. At the end let's have a thought: when European Countries had their own currencies, there was no currency that was at higher level of the CHF: Deutsche Mark was the higher with his 0, 80 CHF/DM. France was 0, 25 against Chf, Belgium was 0, 04, Italy was thousands .... for one Chf, etc. The only stronger was GBP but they did the Brexit (thank God). So the real value of the Euro against CHF should really be between 0, 50 and 0, 70. Furthermore, talking about energy crisis, USA is indipendent with gas and oil (well they could be indipendent, they only have to change administration at the White House). Europe instead is not energy indipendent and the stupid policies of the socialists of the past years have brought Europe into this crisis.

pockets and they’re paying higher prices.” That is incorrect and a fallacy. The average American who is working and already struggling with increased energy (car fuel and natural gas prices), increased grocery food costs, and increased costs on everything else doesn’t have the extra money to spend to pay a higher price and is getting crushed.

I hope it will soon be back to normal, where food and energy prices have fallen back as well as I hope, it will be possible to go to summer vacation, travel and relax again after the covid lockdown. I am so depressed about the current situation where all I talk to complain and their wifes are in bad temper due to restaurant visits have declined. No one want to live boring like that anymore

If she is responsible for price stability and inflation is caused by her policies, why doesn't she resign right after saying this? This woman is a disgrace and is causing so much pain. She should be in jail.

The policy of huge expansion in money supply and restrictions on industries capacity to supply goods and services have virtually guaranteed inflation. The comments all have a similar view which indicates they are probably more capable and informed than this leader.

So working in this economy, while inflation increases. So people are working hard again, for around the same margin. Lagarde is a lawyer, through and through. I have no idea where the arrogance is coming from… wait. She may make some decisions, but she is just a spokesperson in a much larger deal
