Valse Lente (Germaine Tailleferre) - arr. Theremin and Piano

Показать описание
This lovely waltz is one of the most well known piece from French composer Germaine Tailleferre (1892 - 1983). I really admire her and her work. She was part of the « groupe des six » and developed a delightful style of her own, exploring harmony and tonality with fresh perspectives.
In the early 80s, my parents were living on Rue d’Assas in Paris. Among their neighbours was Mrs Tailleferre… They remember an elderly woman, very polite, elegant and lively despite her great age. Unfortunately they never had the opportunity to exchange much with her and I deeply regret that!
The score of my arrangement is available on request, drop me a line if you are interested.
For theremin nerds: you might notice that I play 2 notes at once between 0:30 and 0:45 . I could have used a harmoniser effect pedal for this purpose. But here, I took advantage of the second oscillator embedded in my Claravox prototype, which you can detune as you like.
