So Melanie had a pet bunny and a pet dog, and her parents decided she couldn’t keep both of them. So Melanie chose to keep the dog. Then, she gave her bunny away to a friend who also had a bunny. The friend assumed they’d get along, so they left for a while and left both bunnies together. Upon coming back, the friends bunny was fine in the yard, but Melanie’s bunny was decapitated. This is seen in Dollhouse too. She has a tattoo of her bunny as memory.
