Myth: Summer is the Best Time to SellYour Portland, Oregon House

I swear. Of all the sellers we talk to and interview with, 90% of them say, “I know that summer is the best time to sell”. And, at least in Oregon, THAT IS NOT TRUE!! Each year, SPRING is the season that is the best time for sellers to get the most bang for their real estate buck. By the time June hits, every one is traveling, celebrating, going to the river. We live in this cold, wet, dark place for 9 months out of the year to truly enjoy the absolute heaven that is an Oregon summer for the three months of summer. And all your buyers are doing exactly that, not shopping for houses. So if you were waiting for a few to chat with me about listing, for the love of dog, don’t wait.
