Not all first cars are created equal - but taking your grandpa's Lincoln Towne car and making the best of the situation is something Zach Borden has truly figured out. With his 420HP Lincoln Town Car he has built the ultimate sleeper...infect almost too well. Overlooked until recently - the Panther platform is incredibly versatile and has tons of potential as a fun car. So what is it like driving a 420HP Lincoln Town car? Let's talk about it!

What was your first car and what would you do to it?

As an Electrician I worked for a gentleman whose son worked on Kurt Buch's NASCAR Roush team back in 2003. In his garage he had a Lincoln Town car with an actual 700+ HP NASCAR engine in it curtesy of his son. The thing was insane.

This is one of the dopest sleepers I've seen in years.

the Panther Platform has been on FIRE lately! David i have a 5 speed swapped "Bullitt" crown vic or a Cobra Roush Crown Vic that handles like a Miata for you to Review. I emailed you a while ago🤙 Would love to showcase these cars and show the new generation of car enthusiasts what the Panther Platform is all about!

"2L is a soft drink, not an engine size". Hear, hear! I only want a bigger engine with more power just to get away from people on the roads who are a danger to themselves and others, whether they're lost/confused or their mind's clouded with excessive road rage. We all know when Covid shutdowns let up, many common folk became irate behind the wheel, more so than ever before.

This Town Car looks awesome. Never would've thought the paint with black accents would've been a killer look. Better than the all-too-common black on white aesthetic.

It slammed to the ground looks gorgeous. I didn't realize how good the town car would look like that

This thing looks SO sick! It's so weird to me as an Aussie how you Americans scoff at cars like these as 'old people's cars', but I think anywhere else in the world it's cool AF. Your 'old people's cars' are some of your BEST cars. Based solely on looks, I'd genuinely take this over your Smurf Mustang. Not even joking.

While I would've preferred a coyote swap into this to keep it Ford, I still REALLY love this sleeper of a Town Car, really gives me ideas on things I can do to my P71!

This has got to be one of the coolest sleeper builds I’ve seen. Other than it being slammed, I’m sure it rides great just like all of the other panther platform cars. Fully expected when you said it was swapped at the beginning for you to say it was a 4v or a coyote, would’ve never guessed an LS, but it’s clear it’s been done right and Zach has put the time to make it function like OEM, which is so awesome to see. Great Video!

Ps: can’t believe that 2v redline was 4500rpm. That’s nuts

I'm currently building my late mothers grand marquie and plan on keeping the 4.6 and adding a turbo. So I love seeing this build!

Nice!! I always liked these, they have a lot of potential. And grandma and grandpa always take care of their cars and rarely drive them. They are diamonds in the rough

People fall in love with a car, whatever car that may be, and sometimes decide to do whatever improvements they can. Also, sometimes financially they may not be able to go out and buy a new car, so they end up piece by piece upgrading their car.

This is awesome! Had a friend in NJ back in mid 2000s get into it with a Towncar of this generation and could not figure out why he was losing. Turns out the guy manual swapped it and put a Terminator Cobra engine in it! Love these unique builds, especially cars that are always overlooked. Awesome build there, sir!

Wow... I never thought I'd see the day a 1995 model year car would be classified as an "antique auto"...

Man mad props on this build. I grew up with the Lincoln Towncar as that’s all my dad drove. He probably went through 5 back in the day. He would trade them in and get a newer one every 2-3 years or so. Having that power and comfort is so badass. Not to mention that trunk space! I got to show him this vid, he’s gonna flip! 👍

I knew Zach when I lived in VA. He's a good dude and that car is wild. Glad it's still around.
